Alessandro Padovan (1983) is an Italian contemporary artist internationally known for Screw Art, an innovative technique that combines painting and sculpture. Considered one of the leading exponents of this approach, Padovan creates three-dimensional works with a strong visual and conceptual impact. Self-taught and trained as a mechanical technician, he began his artistic journey in 2012 with the Drill Monkeys Art Duo and has worked as an independent artist since 2017. Screw Art uses self-tapping screws inserted into wooden panels at different depths and then painted with acrylics, creating works that play with light, volume and perception. His three-dimensional contemporary works, often featuring iconic and pop subjects, have been presented in galleries, international fairs, events and auction houses, making Alessandro Padovan a distinctive figure in Italian contemporary art.
