Athos Faccincani, born in Peschiera del Garda in 1951, began as a self-taught artist and spent time in the studios of numerous painters. In his early phase, Faccincani's works had an expressionist character, with dark tones and suffering subjects inspired by visits to psychiatric hospitals and prisons. At the end of the 1970s, following an artistic and personal crisis, his style changed radically towards bright, vibrant Mediterranean landscapes with Impressionist influences. This evolution, characterised by vivid colours and luminous brushwork, reflects a more serene and joyful vision of life, particularly in his depictions of places such as Positano, Portofino and the Greek islands. Exhibitions Athos Faccincani has exhibited extensively in Italy and abroad, with significant presentations in Naples, Tokyo, Moscow, Madrid and Munich, bringing his vivid style and his love of Mediterranean nature to an international audience.
