Gianni Palma was born in Naples in 1985. His work has a strong, physical relationship with material: plaster, sand and pigments are layered and combined to create surfaces that invite touch as much as sight. In a world increasingly dominated by digital imagery, Palma returns to the tangible qualities of painting, creating abstract works that become genuine sensory experiences. Listening is central to his practice. Working frequently on commission, he translates the atmosphere, architecture and character of a client’s space into minimal compositions with a powerful visual presence. This ability to create highly personal works has made his practice particularly suited to interiors where art is intended not simply as decoration, but as an extension of the identity of the space itself.
