Danilo Di Nenno is a self-taught Italian contemporary artist. Born in Lanciano in 1978, he began his artistic career in 1999 and soon took part in contemporary art fairs, awards, group exhibitions and solo shows in Italy and abroad.

His practice is characterised by textured surfaces, intense colour and a strong gestural component. His works move between abstraction and figurative suggestion, using the painted mark as a means of emotional and symbolic investigation. He works with different materials and supports, experimenting with textures and reliefs that give depth and dynamism to the composition.

Di Nenno explores memory, inner landscape, the energy of matter and the relationship between light and colour. Each work develops through a process of layering and transformation, balancing spontaneity with compositional control.

Over time he has developed two apparently distant but complementary languages: a pop-figurative world and an essential landscape. In the first, the heart becomes a living figure moving through everyday life with irony and poetry; in the second, landscape is reduced to its essential elements, suspending time and inviting contemplation. In both, one constant remains: the desire for art to create emotion before explanation.
